Pune, July 20 -- Deputy Mayor Parshuram Wadekar on Monday inspected the ongoing construction work of the National Memorial at the historic Bhide Wada in Budhwar Peth and directed officials to complete the project within the Mahatma Phule Bicentenary birth anniversary year.

Wadekar reviewed the progress of the project with officials, engineers and architects and stressed that the memorial should be completed within the stipulated time, maintaining high quality and in a manner befitting its historic significance.
