Varanasi, Jan. 7 -- Demolition work for the widening and strengthening of the Dalmandi road to ease traffic in the holy city of Varanasi and Orine Minister Narendra Modi's constituency resumed on Wednesday.
The Public Works Department (PWD), district and police administration, along with forces from several police stations and paramilitary forces, have been deployed for security. The road leadingto Dalmandi from the new road has been barricaded.
PWD Executive Engineer K.K. Singh said that demolition work is being carried out on the buildings whose registrations have been completed.
