Srinagar, March 10 -- Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday said that demands seeking withdrawal of FIRs against individuals allegedly involved in stone-pelting during recent pro Iran protests cannot be justified under any circumstances.

In a statement issued here, party J&K spokesman Altaf Thakur said that violence and vandalism in the name of protest are unacceptable and must be dealt with strictly under the law.

He said maintaining peace and law and order in the Valley is the responsibility of the administration and any attempt to disrupt it cannot be tolerated.
