Demand for 'Anti-Land Grabbing Law' in Maharashtra Raised by Citizen Social Foundation
Pune, Apr 21 ( UNI) The Citizen Social Foundation (NSF), Pune, has urged the Maharashtra government to urgently implement an 'Anti-Land Grabbing Law' to curb the rising cases of illegal land encroachment in the state.The organization submitted a detailed memorandum to the state authorities, informed CA Anjali Khatri, a member of the foundation, during a press conference on Tuesday.Trustees Ameya Sapre, Pritam Thorve, and Advocate Sarvesh Mehendale were also present on the occasion.Providing further details, Khatri stated that similar laws are already in force in states like Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Assam, and Karnataka, where they have yielded positive results.She emphasized the need for a strict and effective legal framework in Maharasht...
