Chennai, Aug. 1 -- Terming the proposed delimitation exercise as a conspiracy by the BJP, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday drew parallel to historic Tamil character "Ettappan" (betrayer) and said anyone supporting it in Tamil Nadu are 21st century Ettappans.
In a brief chat with reporters, before leaving for Chennai after taking part in the valedictory of the 10-day training programme for DCCs and meeting the family members of the students who have committed suicides due to NEET exams at Mahabalipuram, about 55 km from here, Rahul accused the BJP of trying to implement the delimitation exercise which would affect the future of the state.
