New Delhi, July 10 -- The Delhi government has announced that the paper-based Pink Ticket system will be valid till July 31, 2026, as part of the free bus travel initiative for female commuters, after which the Pink Saheli Smart Card will become the sole mode for availing free travel in DTC buses from August 1.
Reaffirming the Delhi government's commitment of providing safe, convenient and free public transport to women of the national capital, Transport Minister Dr Pankaj Kumar Singh, said the transition to the Pink Saheli Smart Card has been undertaken to introduce a more transparent, efficient and technology-driven system.
