New Delhi, Aug. 23 -- Residents of Delhi witnessed another rainy spell with overcast skies reported across the city on Sunday.

According to the India Meteorological Department, mild showers were reported in isolated places in the past 24 hours, accompanied by lightning and thunderstorms.

Safdarjung, Delhi's base weather station, recorded 3.4 mm rainfall between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm on Sunday, falling in the 'light' category, according to IMD's evening bulletin.

At 17.5 mm, Najafgarh was the only station that witnessed precipitation in the 'moderate' category. Palam (10.6 mm), Pusa (11.5 mm), Lodhi Road (2.7 mm), Ridge (0.8 mm) and Ayanagar (0.6 mm) were the other stations that reported light showers.
