New Delhi, May 18 -- The national capital on Monday reeled under scorching heat with the maximum temperature settling at 43.4 degrees Celsius during the day, -- three points more than the season's average, according to the India Meteorological Department.
According to the IMD forecast, heat wave conditions at isolated places are likely in the coming four days, while the sky is going to be mainly clear.
Sustained strong surface winds are also expected, that may reach to speeds of 15- 25 km per hour, and occasionally gusting to around 35 km/ hr during the day time.
