New Delhi, June 11 -- With several initiatives undertaken by Delhi Police for ensuring women safety and promote women empowerment, the Self Defence Wing of the Special Police Unit for Women and Children on Thursday successfully concluded its 22nd Self Defence summer camp across four different places in the city.
The SPUWAC's aim behind the initiative is to empower girls and women, preparing them for any untoward situation so that they can respond in the right way and protect themselves.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner of Police SPUWAC, Neha Yadav said that building confidence is crucial, especially for girls, and such initiatives help achieve this.
