New Delhi, June 27 -- In a major breakthrough, the Special Staff of the Rohini District Police on Saturday busted a large interstate and international syndicate involved in trafficking stolen and snatched mobile phones.
Ten people, including two courier operators, have been arrested, and 325 high-end mobile phones worth nearly Rs1 crore have been recovered.
According to the police, the investigation revealed that the gang smuggled stolen mobile phones from Delhi to Bangladesh through Kolkata, Malda, and Murshidabad, while another network routed the devices to Nepal via Uttar Pradesh.
Police said that despite a rise in mobile theft and snatching cases in Rohini over the past few months, the recovery rate remained unusually low. Technical ...
