New Delhi, July 2 -- Delhi Police have busted a fake marriage racket that allegedly targeted unmarried men and cheated them of money by arranging fraudulent weddings, officials said on Thursday.
Three accused, identified as Lovely alias Lalita, Kamal Lohra and Deepu alias Rakesh Ekka, have been arrested in connection with the case, police said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Hareshwar V. Swami said the case surfaced during the investigation of a missing woman complaint registered at Khyala police station.
Acting on technical surveillance and local intelligence, police traced the woman to Rajasthan, where it was found that she was already married with four children and was allegedly part of a gang that projected married women as unmarried ...
