New Delhi, May 19 -- The Crime Branch of Delhi Police has arrested a 42-year-old proclaimed offender, Shakir, carrying a reward of Rs 5,000, nearly 17 years after he allegedly absconded in a cattle slaughter case registered in the year 2009.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Sanjeev Kumar Yadav said the accused, a resident of Dhauz village in Faridabad, Haryana, was apprehended by the Central Range team of the Crime Branch following a targeted surveillance operation near Mori Gate based on a secret tip-off.
