New Delhi, Oct. 12 -- Delhi Police arrested a man who faked his death to escape trial in multiple cases of burglary and illegal firearms possession, an official said today.

In 2021, Virender Vimal, from Delhi's Mungeshpur village, declared himself dead using forged documents to evade non-bailable warrants issued by the court. Police said he was a habitual offender wanted in several cases of housebreaking, theft, and illegal possession of arms registered at the Bawana police station.
