Parwinder SandhuNew Delhi, May 30 -- Intermittent rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds swept across the national capital and adjoining NCR areas on Saturday, bringing substantial relief from the scorching summer heat and pushing temperatures below normal levels, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The change in weather was driven by the influence of an active western disturbance and multiple cyclonic circulations affecting northwest India, resulting in cloudy skies, scattered rainfall and strong surface winds across Delhi-NCR over the past 24 hours.
