New Delhi, June 4 -- Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu on Thursday chaired a review meeting of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to discuss a comprehensive action plan aimed at strengthening urban governance, improving civic infrastructure, and enhancing structural safety across the national capital.
Sandhu emphasised the need for the effective implementation of a comprehensive action plan to identify, halt, and demolish unauthorised constructions.
He also called for a robust regulatory framework to ensure strict enforcement of building bylaws, penalise illegal constructions and expansions, and establish absolute institutional accountability across all municipal zones.
