New Delhi, July 15 -- For proper waste disposal of cow dung, which pollutes the Yamuna River, Delhi has geared up to build Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) plants, as Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday inked an agreement with the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) for the construction of the plants.

According to the officials from the Ministry, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today in the presence of union Minister for Animal Husbandry and Dairying Rajiv Ranjan Singh, Delhi Lieutenant Governor Shri Taranjit Singh Sandhu, Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta, union Home Secretary, union Cooperation Secretary, and several senior officials from the Central and Delhi Governments.
