New Delhi, July 21 -- The Delhi High Court on Tuesday allowed climate activist Sonam Wangchuk to be shifted from Safdarjung Hospital to Medanta Hospital, observing that both government and private doctors were of the view that he requires continuous medical monitoring due to his ongoing hunger strike.

A Division Bench of Chief Justice D K Upadhyaya and Justice Tejas Karia passed the order while hearing an appeal filed by Wangchuk's wife, Dr Gitanjali Angmo, challenging a single judge's decision refusing permission to transfer him to a private hospital.
