New Delhi, July 30 -- Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Devender Yadav on Thursday accused the BJP-led Delhi government of diluting its poll promise of providing Rs 2,500 per month to poor women by imposing what he termed "unreasonable" eligibility conditions under the newly approved Delhi Lakshmi Yojana.
Addressing the issue, Yadav alleged that the stringent eligibility criteria would leave out several lakh women from the scheme despite the BJP's election commitment to extend financial assistance to every poor woman in the national capital.
"The Rekha Gupta Government's unreasonable, stiff eligibility criteria keep out lakhs of women from the ambit of the Lakshmi Yojana scheme," Yadav said.
