New Delhi, March 12 -- Delhi Government is intensifying its efforts to rehabilitate individuals involved in begging by connecting them with livelihood opportunities and integrating them into the mainstream of society under the SMILE (Support for Marginalized Individuals for Livelihood and Enterprise) Scheme.

As part of the initiative, social organisations working on the ground are conducting surveys, counselling individuals, and facilitating access to shelter, employment, and government welfare schemes to help them move towards a dignified and self-reliant life.
