New Delhi, Aug. 10 -- The Delhi government has categorically rejected the Opposition's allegations regarding the distribution of cycles to girl students, asserting that the entire procurement has been carried out through transparent open tendering and strictly according to rules.
Delhi Minister for Legislative Affairs Parvesh Verma on Monday said it is unfortunate that the opposition is trying to create unnecessary controversy around a pro-women initiative aimed at supporting girls' education and mobility.
Verma stated that the acquisition of 1.3 lakh cycles under the Vidya Vahini Yojana strictly adheres to Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) guidelines and prescribed financial procedures.
