New Delhi, June 29 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Monday siad her government has approved a draft EV Policy 2026, which aims towards giving superior environmental benefits to the city by promoting zero emission vehicles.

Addressing a press conference here along with her cabinet ministers, Gupta stated that once the draft policy gets approved by the Lieutenant Governor, it will be implemented starting from July 1, up to March 31 2030.

CM emphasized that the focus of the policy is on pure EVs, which offer superior environmental benefits as zero-emission vehicles.

According to Gupta, the Delhi Government is committing over Rs 7,000 crore over the next four years to drive this transition.
