New Delhi, March 25 -- Delhi Police said on Wednesday it has dismantled an international arms trafficking syndicate, arresting 10 suspects having links to Pakistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh.
The police described the accused as key operatives, saying a large cache of high-end foreign weapons has been confiscated from their possession.
"The operation was led by the Anti-Robbery and Snatching Cell (ARSC), which uncovered a network operating in Old Delhi," said Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch).
Police have recovered 21 sophisticated firearms, including a Czech-made submachine gun, semi-automatic pistols of various international makes, and over 200 live cartridges.
