New Delhi, May 5 -- A Delhi court has granted regular bail to an official of the National Insurance Company Ltd, who was arrested in connection with an alleged bribery case involving a private hospital in Gurugram.

The court observed that the material investigation was already complete and that keeping the accused, Santosh Kumar Jain, behind bars would serve no useful purpose.

The court noted that the accused had been in judicial custody for about a month and had cooperated with the investigating agency. It also highlighted that the accused had provided his specimen voice sample and that electronic records, including his mobile phone, had already been seized.
