New Delhi, May 24 -- The Delhi unit of the Congress party has criticised the BJP-led Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and the state government after the Delhi High Court reportedly issued a notice to the MCD Commissioner over alleged dumping of garbage near a government school in the national capital.
Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee chief Devender Yadav alleged on Saturday that the incident reflected a failure of civic administration and raised concerns over the health and safety of students studying in the area. He claimed that thousands of children were being forced to study in unhygienic conditions due to the presence of waste near the school premises.
