New Delhi, March 27 -- The Delhi Congress has criticized the BJP-led government in the national capital, alleging serious gaps in its public transport commitments and accusing it of failing women commuters despite promises of free travel.

Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) president Devender Yadav on Thursday claimed that the government headed by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has committed fraud in implementing free travel for women in DTC buses.

He alleged that a shortage of buses and hurdles in obtaining 'Pink Cards' have rendered the scheme ineffective on the ground.

Citing the Delhi Economic Survey of the year 2025-26, Yadav said the fleet of the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) has declined to 3,213 buses, the lowest in 13 years,...
