New Delhi, July 13 -- As part of the Delhi government's ambitious campaign to plant 70 lakh saplings for increasing the city's green cover, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Monday participated in a plantation drive in the Model Town Assembly constituency.
Organised under the 'Green Delhi Sankalp' and 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaigns, the drive saw around 1,100 saplings planted across the Model Town area.
The CM stated that every sapling symbolises the commitment to providing future generations with clean air, greenery and a healthy life.
