New Delhi, Oct. 1 -- The Delhi Government on Thursday launched the Swachh Yamuna Prahari Campaign, inaugurated by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta in Delhi University's North Campus, as part of the government's efforts towards cleaning and conservation of the river, with the organisational support of the BJP's state unit.
Delhi BJP President Harsh Malhotra and Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh were also present on the occasion, along with DU Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh and others.
As the campaign commenced on Thursday, students from various colleges also took a pledge to become Yamuna Praharis and contribute to the cleanliness campaign.
