Pankaj JainNew Delhi, Jan. 5 -- Delhi minister Parvesh Verma on Monday moved a motion in the Assembly, alleging contempt of the House and irresponsible conduct by the Opposition during the Lieutenant Governor's address to the House.
Presenting the motion, Verma said the dignity of the House was undermined during the address. He sought action against members who disrupted the proceedings. He proposed the suspension of AAP MLAs Sanjeev Jha, Kuldeep Kumar, Jarnail Singh and Som Dutt for three days.
The Speaker said the motion was placed before the House. He stated that the members concerned showed contempt during the Lieutenant Governor's address and created unnecessary disorder, disrupting the constitutional functioning of the House. The Sp...
