New Delhi, May 24 -- : A 60-year-old security guard was allegedly run over multiple times by a car in Outer Delhi's Peera Garhi village, triggering outrage among locals who announced a chakka jam protest demanding justice.
The deceased, identified as Vijender, worked as a chowkidar at a tempo stand near Shri Shidh Baba Mandir in Peeragarhi.
According to villagers, four men arrived at the spot late Saturday night in a tempo. One of them allegedly attacked Vijender with a stick and when he tried to escape, the vehicle allegedly ran over him repeatedly before the accused fled.
