New Delhi, June 28 -- The Delhi unit of Congress today criticised Chief Minister Rekha Gupta's visit to Chilla Village, where she participated in a cleanliness drive and interacted with children, describing the exercise as a publicity event rather than a solution to the issues affecting residents.

Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Devender Yadav said that if the government was serious about cleaning the Yamuna and improving conditions in Delhi's settlements, residents would not continue to face problems such as untreated sewage flowing into the river, pollution, garbage accumulation and inadequate sewer infrastructure.
