Dehra (Kangra), June 24 -- In a major blow to narcotics trafficking under the Himachal Pradesh government's "Drug-Free Himachal Campaign", Dehra Police has frozen and seized movable and immovable properties worth more than Rs 50.16 lakh allegedly acquired through the illegal drug trade.
Dehra district superintendent of police Mayank Chaudhary told UNI that acting on the zero-tolerance policy against narcotics, Police District Dehra has intensified its crackdown on the illegal trafficking of heroin, charas and other narcotic substances. The latest action was taken following an extensive financial investigation that traced assets allegedly generated from proceeds of drug trafficking.
