Chennai, Sept. 1 -- Defending champions Hyderabad gained a slender 17-run first inningslead, while TNCA President's XI batted itself to an impregnable position, thanks to a finecentury by middle order btsman Ajitesh and half centuries by C Andre Siddarth andR S Ambrish on the second day of the semifinals of the All India Buchibabu crickettournament here today.

Hyderabad, which scored 225 in the first innings, bowled out Haryana, which resumedat 14 for no loss, for 208 in 79.3 overs, gaining a slender lead. Himanshu Rana topscored with 75.
