Arti Bali, June 23 -- After reports emerged that India is in discussions with the United Arab Emirates to export key military systems, including the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile and the Akashteer air defence network, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has underlined the steady expansion of defence cooperation between the two countries.
MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said India-UAE relations have witnessed a significant upswing in recent years, with defence emerging as a key pillar of the growing strategic partnership.
