Nagpur, June 18 -- Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will perform groundbreaking ceremony for the state-of-the-art 10,000-ton aluminium extrusion press at Yantra India Limited (YIL), Ordnance Factory Ambajhari, here on June 19, according to an official release.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Secretary (Defence Production) Sanjeev Kumar and senior officials from the Department of Defence Production and YIL will be present at the ceremony.
The upcoming facility is expected to become a strategic national asset for India's defence manufacturing sector, significantly boosting the country's capability to produce large, high-strength and precision aluminium alloy extrusions used in defence and aerospace applications.
