New Delhi, May 24 -- Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today said India is witnessing a transformative shift in defence production, with the private sector emerging as a key driver of innovation, as he inaugurated a major Defence Manufacturing Complex in Maharashtra's Shirdi.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Singh described the event as a landmark moment for India's defence and space sectors, marked by the inauguration of an artillery shell manufacturing facility, the foundation laying of a missile complex linked to the Universal Rocket Launching System, and the signing of an agreement aimed at expanding private sector participation in satellite assembly and space technology.
