New Delhi, Oct. 11 -- Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone has been appointed as the first-ever Mental Health Ambassador by the union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), marking a landmark step towards strengthening India's mental health ecosystem.

Announcing the appointment on World Mental Health Day, union Health Minister J.P.
