Prithviraj SinghDehradun, Aug. 18 -- Search and rescue operations to find the remaining two missing workers trapped inside the collapsed under-construction tunnel of the Vishnugad-Pipalkoti Hydropower Project of Tehri Hydropower Development Corporation (THDC) ended on Tuesday afternoon as rescuers recovered the bodies of the missing men, taking the death toll to 10.
The State disaster management department said that the challenging rescue operation lasted over 117 hours.
The Department stated that 19 workers were taken out on day one of the operation including 12 injured and seven dead bodies.
Of the three missing workers one body was recovered on August 17 while two others were retrieved on the last day of the operation, August 18.
