Prayagraj, Sept. 1 -- The death toll in Monday's firecracker explosion in Kaushambi district rose to 12 after a critically injured man succumbed to his injuries at Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital (SRN) on Tuesday.
Five injured persons were brought to SRN Hospital from Kaushambi on Monday for treatment. One of them, Rajesh Kumar (50), died during treatment at around 1 pm on Tuesday.
Doctors said Kumar was in an extremely critical condition and had been on ventilator support. Despite the medical team's efforts, he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
