Ballari, Jan. 7 -- Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Wednesday said he had visited the house of Rajshekar and described Ballari riots as shocking, while assuring the family of Congress party's support.
Shivakumar said he shared the grief of the bereaved family and that the party was standing firmly with them during this difficult time. He also said the government would examine the request to provide a job to a member of the deceased's family and extend assistance within the legal framework.
"The law is doing its job. Everyone involved in the incident, including the gunman, has been arrested," he added, noting that the Home Minister would take care of all aspects related to the case.
