Agartala, Aug. 30 -- The Darjeeling police of West Bengal contacted its Tripura counterpart to reach out to the families of six women, including four minor girls who were detained by SSB personnel three days ago at the Indo-Nepal Panitanki border while allegedly being trafficked to a dance bar in Nepal.

According to the report, altogether six women from the Khowai, Dhalai and North Tripura districts of the state, including two adult ladies and four underage girls, have been put in a shelter. At the same time, minors were produced before the Child Welfare Committee of Darjeeling, and the police were directed to hand over them to their families.
