Darbhanga, March 17 -- The court of Special Judge (Excise) Sriram Jha today awarded seven years of rigorous imprisonment to a drug trafficker in a case related to illegal narcotic substances.
The judge also slapped a fine of Rs 50, 000.
According to prosecution counsel Abhay Pathak, Special Public Prosecutor, on January 25, last year, Sadar police arrested Singh from his thatched house and seized 37 litres of codeine-based Wincorex cough syrup from his possession.
A case was registered at the Excise police station under relevant sections of the law.
