Wardha, July 17 -- : Shiv Sena leader (UBT)and former Leader of the Opposition Ambadas Danve on Friday met Wardha Superintendent of Police Saurabh Kumar Agrawal and sought a fair, speedy and effective investigation into the brutal murder of 12-year-old girl following her alleged rape.
Taking an aggressive stand over the incident, Danve has demanded swift justice for the victim's family and stringent action against the accused.
He said the accused should be tried in a fast-track court and awarded the harshest possible punishment, including the death penalty, at the earliest.
Danve urged the police administration to conduct the investigation without any pressure and with complete transparency and seriousness.
