London, June 26 -- Daisy Edgar-Jones is set to step into the role of Elinor Dashwood in a forthcoming film adaptation of Jane Austen's 1811 debut novel "Sense and Sensibility".

Helmed by "Blue Jean" director Georgia Ookley, with an adapted screenplay by Diana Reid, the production will be brought to life by industry heavyweights Tim Bevan and Eric Feliner of Working Title Films, alongside India Flint of November Pictures and Jon Wallet, reports VARIETY.

Edgar-Jones shared the news on Instagram, where she posted a photograph of herself with the novel in hand. The 27-year-old British actor broke out in Hulu's 2020 romantic drama "Normal People" alongside Paul Mescal. She's gone on to star in blockbusters like 2022's "Where the Crawdads Sing"...
