Hyderabad, May 12 -- D.S.V.R. Murthy, an officer of the 1998 batch of the Indian Postal Service (IPoS), has assumed charge as the Chief Postmaster General of Telangana Circle here today.
A Computer Science Engineer from Gitam's Engineering College, Visakhapatnam, Murthy is a native of Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh.
He joined the Department of Posts as an Indian Postal Service Officer on September 7, 1998, and has served in various capacities including SSRM, Air Mail Sorting-Mumbai, Manager at the Air Mail Processing Centre-Mumbai, SSPOs-Bengaluru, and APMG at the Bengaluru Circle Office.
Later, as a JAG officer, he served as DPS-Chennai and DPS-Vijayawada Region.
