Chennai, Oct. 28 -- Heavy rains continue to lash Chennai city and its neigbouring andin North interior districts, even as the Cyclonic Storm Montha intensified into a SevereCyclonic Storm today, and is expected make a landfall in Andhra Pradesh by this eveningor night.
In its latest bulletin, the Met office said yesterday's Cyclonic Storm "Montha" over Westcentral Bay of Bengal moved north-northwestwards, intensified into a Severe CyclonicStorm at 0530 hrs of today over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal.
