Bhubaneswar, July 13 -- A cyclonic circulation formed over the north Bay of Bengal on Monday and is likely to trigger the formation of a low-pressure area over the northwest Bay of Bengal off the Odisha-Gangetic West Bengal coast, the Centre for Environment and Climate (CEC) at SOA Deemed to be University said.

The weather system is expected to cause moderate to heavy rainfall across several northern and western districts of Odisha, particularly in the catchment areas of the Subarnarekha, Budhabalanga, Brahmani and Baitarani rivers, between July 14 and 17, a CEC bulletin said.
