Hyderabad, Oct. 29 -- The Cyclonic Storm "Montha" over coastal Andhra Pradesh continued its north-northwestward movement early Wednesday, bringing with it the likelihood of intense rainfall across large parts of Telangana.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the system, moving at around 15 kmph, was centred at 0530 hours near latitude 17.0degN and longitude 81.3degE - roughly 80 km northwest of Narsapur, 100 km west of Kakinada, and 230 km west-southwest of Visakhapatnam.
It is expected to move further across coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, weakening into a deep depression within the next few hours and into a depression later in the day.
