Hyderabad, Nov. 7 -- The Cyber Crimes Police of Hyderabad City intensified their crackdown on online fraudsters, registering 196 FIRs, arresting 55 accused, and recovering Rs 62.34 lakh from cyber criminals during October.

In addition, the Zonal Cyber Cells registered 130 FIRs, arrested 29 suspects, and refunded Rs 18.22 lakh to victims.

According to a police statement on Friday, the arrested offenders collectively held 61 bank accounts that witnessed suspicious transactions amounting to over Rs 107 crore. The accused were found involved in 136 cases across India, including 45 within Telangana.
