Ranchi, March 16 -- A curtain raiser programme for the forthcoming National Symposium and Expo on "Sustainable Mining and Ecological Restoration" was held at the Central University of Jharkhand on Monday.

The programme was organised at the main auditorium of the university's Management Building ahead of the national symposium that will focus on sustainable mining practices and ecological restoration.

Ranchi Mayor Roshni Khalkho attended the event as the chief guest. Former Hindustan Copper Limited chairman A K Shukla, social workers Seema Singh and Rakesh Lal, Sikkim Skill University chancellor Prof Bijoy Singh and Vigyan Bharati governing council member N P Shukla were also present.
