Hyderabad, June 22 -- Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Monday called for the Culture, Tourism and Endowments Departments to work in coordination to preserve traditional arts, promote culture and create sustainable livelihoods for artists.
Addressing the 'Ardhanareeswaram National Dance Festival' at Ravindra Bharathi, Bhatti said temple premises had historically served as important platforms for fine arts and cultural expression.
He suggested adopting a Kerala-style model in Telangana by showcasing local art forms at tourist destinations, which would both entertain visitors and provide employment opportunities to artists.
